Welcome to Galway Camera Club online

Galway Camera Club has been running for over 20 years and is a diverse group of individuals interested in taking and viewing photographs. With a broad range of members from Professional to Amateur, we cater to all kinds of photography, from Digital to Film. We have members with interests in Infrared, Pinhole and Lomographic photography, along with more standard fare such as Landscape and Portrait photography.
There are also beginners classes available and new members are always welcome.
We meet on a Thursday night at 8pm in the White Room in Cluain Mhuire college (GMIT), Wellpark Road, situated a short walk from the junction at the Huntsman.

Open Competition Results

A big thank you to Kelvin Gillmor www.kelvingillmor.com for judging the competition for us last night. Kelvin was kind enough to meet up with me during the week to judge the entries in advance of the night. I'm sure everyone will agree that the critique offered was invaluable feedback for members wishing to improve their photography.

Kelvin presented a slideshow of his own work afterwards & the quality of his work was outstanding & shows just how well qualified he is to judge & offer feedback. So on behalf of all the members I'd just like to thank Kelvin very sincerely & extend a welcome to drop by the club any time he so wishes.

HP Night

Hi folks,
A reminder that the HP Printer night is next Wednesday night. Because it's on at the same time as the club, they will do the demo for club members earlier than this. Contact Ray at the camera shop 091 565678 and let him know you are going. I think they will run it from 6.30 on for us. It's in the Harbour Hotel on the docks. It's either the Purcell or Purtell suite. I don't have the letter to hand to confirm.

Also let me know via email if you can: info@galwaycameraclub.com
