Welcome to Galway Camera Club online
Galway Camera Club has been running for over 20 years and is a diverse group of individuals interested in taking and viewing photographs. With a broad range of members from Professional to Amateur, we cater to all kinds of photography, from Digital to Film. We have members with interests in Infrared, Pinhole and Lomographic photography, along with more standard fare such as Landscape and Portrait photography.
There are also beginners classes available and new members are always welcome.
We meet on a Thursday night at 8pm in the White Room in Cluain Mhuire college (GMIT), Wellpark Road, situated a short walk from the junction at the Huntsman.

Hi, I've just moved to Galway and would love to join the camera club and also attend the beginners lessons, can anyone tell me how to go about this? i.e. how do I join and where and price etc? Thanks for any help anyone can give me. JP
Hi Luke
We meet every Thursday night at the White Room, Cluain Mhuire campus, GMIT, Wellpark Road (the mao at the front page has directions). Beginners classes start at 7pm and the club meeting at 8pm. The cost to join the club is €50 (€35 conc - students/OPS/unwaged). You need to be a member to attend beginners classes and everyone is welcome.
Hi Adrian, Thanks for the info. I look forward to my first meeting!
Hi, I was just wondering - is it ok to join the classes now, I know they started in October, but would it be too late? Or would it be better if I were to wait untill after Christmas?
