Welcome to Galway Camera Club online

Galway Camera Club has been running for over 20 years and is a diverse group of individuals interested in taking and viewing photographs. With a broad range of members from Professional to Amateur, we cater to all kinds of photography, from Digital to Film. We have members with interests in Infrared, Pinhole and Lomographic photography, along with more standard fare such as Landscape and Portrait photography.
There are also beginners classes available and new members are always welcome.
We meet on a Thursday night at 8pm in the White Room in Cluain Mhuire college (GMIT), Wellpark Road, situated a short walk from the junction at the Huntsman.

Dear sir/madam,
Do you hold landscape photography classes? Alternatively, do you know if any are held in Galway?

I would appreciate any info.

Regards,

Fergal Hayes.

There are general beginners classes, which would cover Landscape, but these are almost over for the year. They restart in Oct.

I would like to do a camera course but I don't have a very good camera. I would like to do the course so I could learn more before I buy anything. When do your courses start

Hi Laoise,
The Club starts back for the 2008/2009 season on Thursday Sept. 11th. with a cheese and wine reception in the white room of the GMIT Campus at Cluan Mhuire on the Monivea Rd. Usually the beginners classes start inside three to four weeks afterwards. Only paid up members of the club can attend these classes and they cover all aspects of Photography from beginners up to the more experienced. If you need advice on which camera would full fill your requirements all you need to do is ask any member of the club. Advice is always free though not always unbiased. I look forward to meeting you on September 11th. If you cannot make it on that night then just pop in on any Thursday night, your always welcome.

If anyone has further questions I am happy to answer them.
